The main advantage of a lineshaft roller conveyor bend so that the bend itself does not always need a motor. This is because it can take it's power from the preceding or following straight where the motor is powering the line shaft. A series of couplings work together to provide the drive to the rollers in the bend. 

Powered roller bends have only limited accumulation facilities

Here are some photos of lineshaft conveyor bends. It's not recommended to accumulate products on a  bend although it's possible to do so with light products for a short time.

Usually the rollers on lineshaft conveyor bends are conical as can be seen here
